Suraj Jog

I am a Senior Research Scientist in the Networking Research Group at Microsoft Research, Redmond.

I finished by Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UIUC, where I was advised by Haitham Hassanieh and was a member of the SyNRG Research Group.
During my Ph.D., I also had the pleasure of interning with Ranveer Chandra at MSR Redmond, where I worked on the FarmBeats project.

Earlier, I completed my Bachelor of Technology with Honors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay.

Presented a working prototype based on my research to Mr. Bill Gates during his visit to our FarmBeats deployment site in Carnation, Washington. My research explores novel RF-based ubiquitous environmental sensing solutions, reducing sensing cost by a factor of 50x. The work featured on Bill Gates' blog, GatesNotes.
